Yeasts are found in many different environments, from the deep sea to the human navel. Viroid genomes are extremely small in size, ranging from 246 to 467 nucleobases. These microscopic single-celled organisms can be rod, spiral or spherical in shape. It takes in food from the water and digests it in organelles known as food vacuoles.
