The major defining characteristic of B. bicolor is its exotic color. This one is quite weird. Entoloma abortivum grows on or near wood in the fall; other Entoloma species grow on the ground in humus in wasteland and fields, along edges of bogs and in woodland areas. It is easier for a mycologist or physician to identify a whole specimen than to try to make an identification based on stomach contents. Their texture is a little doughy, but it has an amazing nutty flavor.
