Dear Friends, (사랑하는 선교의 동역자님들께)

           Sharing about Jesus in a Muslim country can be risky. (모슬렘 국가에서 예수님에 대하여 나누는 것은

위협이 따릅니다.)  I was actually relieved and happy to see police around our church on Christmas Day this

year.(이번 성탄절에 교회에 경찰들이 둘러서서 보호해 주는 것을 보면서 정말 안심했고 행복했습니다.)  There

were three to five officers directing traffic and keeping a watchful eye.(세명에서 다섯 명의 경찰관들이 교통정리

를 하고 주시하면서 보아주었습니다.)  On the next island over to our east, there had been a bombing directed

at Westerners. (저희 동쪽으로 옆의 섬에서는 서양인들에게 직접적으로 폭탄을 던진 일도 있었습니다.)  I had

been given strict instructions about the sermon I had prepared for Christmas. (저는 성탄절 말씀을 준비하면서

미리 철저한 지도를 받기도 했습니다.) I could share the gospel, but not lead an alter call. (복음을 전해도 되지

만 영접 기도를 인도해서는 안 된다는 것이였습니다.) Within those limits, I’m thankful that the real message

and meaning of Christmas was shared.(그러한 절제 속에서도 저는 정말 성탄절의 참 의미가 무엇인지를 나눌

수가 있어서 참 감사했습니다.)  Though Jesus came as a baby born into humble surroundings, he is not ‘just a

prophet’ as many in the Islamic world believe .(예수님은 많은 이슬람 세계가 믿는 그런 그냥 예언자가  아니시

라, 겸손으로 둘러싸신 아기로 태어나셔서 오신 것입니다.)  He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.  (그 분은

왕 중의 왕이시며 주 중의 주이십니다.)  We made the most of our opportunity and hope it brings people to

believe in Jesus as their Savior and Lord.  (우리는 모든 기회와 소망을 사람들에게 가져와 그들이 예수님을 구주

와 주님으로 믿도록 만들어야 할 것 입니다.)

Wareham Family News & Prayer Requests

1.  We are off to a good start this semester ~ Our elementary school has a few new students and enrollment

is at an all-time high.  A few people have been sick (including my daughter Sarah) with a stomach virus that is

going around.  There might be worms or something in the water supply.  We are doing our best to stay healthy. 

We ask for your prayers for good health for our family, teachers and students.– 초등학교가 2학기를 잘 시작하

였고 저희 초등학교도 새로운 학생들이 들어왔습니다.  몇 몇 사람들이 아픈데(사라도 포함하여) 복통과 바이러

스가 유행중에 있습니다.  수돗물에서 벌레들이 나오고 있고, 저희는 최선을 다하여 건강하고자 합니다.  저희 가

족과 선생님들 그리고 학생들이 건강하도록 기도를 부탁드립니다.

2.  Milee’s language study is going well ~ I am amazed at how quickly she picks up the language in any

country we are sent to.  We are thankful for the prayers and support of our friends that make it possible for us

to serve in Indonesia.  Because of that, Milee can focus on language study while I serve at the local Christian

school.  We are incredibly grateful for your prayers and support.  (미리가 어느 나라를 가든지 빨리 언

어를 습득하는 모습에 놀라기도 합니다.  저희가 이 인도네시아를 섬기는데 가능하도록 기도와 후원을 해

주시는 동역자님들께 우리는 엄청나게 감사하게 여기고 있습니다.)
